Terms of Service
Last updated September 28, 2026
These terms govern your use of Greenlit. By creating an account or using a client portal link, you agree to them.
Using Greenlit
Greenlit is a software tool for managing project scope, change orders and invoices. You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Your contracts are between you and your client
Greenlit is not a party to any agreement between a provider and their client. Projects, scope items, budgets, deadlines and change orders created in Greenlit reflect what users enter. The service helps you document and price changes, but the underlying contract is yours to agree with your client.
E-signatures and approvals
When a client types their name to approve a change order, Greenlit records that as an electronic signature along with the time it was given. Electronic signatures are generally enforceable, but whether a specific signature satisfies the law for your contract depends on your jurisdiction and agreement — confirm with your own legal adviser if that matters to you.
Invoices and payments
Greenlit tracks invoices and lets clients confirm that a payment has been made. The provider is responsible for verifying that money actually arrived. Greenlit is not a payment processor, does not hold funds, and does not collect card or bank details. Connecting a third-party payment processor is subject to that processor's own terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Greenlit for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
- Share client portal links with anyone other than the intended client.
- Attempt to access other users' projects, tokens or accounts.
- Interfere with the service's operation or circumvent its security controls.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Greenlit available, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Greenlit's operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or disputes between providers and clients arising from projects managed in the service. Our total liability for direct damages is limited to the amount you paid to use the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using Greenlit at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms. On request we will delete your account and project data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.
